Mrs Robinson, the SMH Head of English writes,

"Forty five pupils and five staff visited the Bolton Octagon theatre to see The Venetian Twins , a Commedia dell' Arte play by Goldoni. It was quick, funny and engaging with lots of audience participation. We all loved it - (even the pupil who said "Oh now I get it!" five minutes from the final curtain.) We gave a standing ovation and at the end, an usher commented on the exemplary behaviour of our pupils throughout. We returned to school at 11pm, exhausted but uplifted by a play that predates Shakespeare!"
