SMH Hockey team on top form

The SMH Hockey team recently took part in the IAPS Hockey Tournament North Round.

Group stage - v Wellow House                            Drew 0-0

                     v The Downs Malvern College         Won 1-0

                     v Beachborough                            Drew 0-0

                     v Witham Hall                               Drew 0-0

                     v Terra Nova                                  Won 2-0

Finished top of the group after winning a penalty shoot out against Terra Nova 3-2 and went on to play Foremarke Hall in the semi finals.

SMH played some excellent hockey, solid in defence and quick on the attack, coming close to scoring on a number of occasions.  At full time the score 0-0, which led to another penalty shoot out.  Unfortunately the girls lost 6-7 in sudden death.

Finished in the competition 4th overall.

Well done to all players, a tremendous effort!
