SMH at the Houses of Parliament

Mrs Catherine Robinson writes:

The pupils who stood as candidates in St. Mary's Hall's mock election attended the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday as guests of Lord Alton. During their campaigns he had addressed the pupils, stressing integrity and service as parliamentary requirements. The pupils were met at Westminster by Lord Alton and Nigel Evans MP, who had also supported our mock election. We sat in the commons during a debate on the Queen's Speech and later in the public gallery of the Lords. It was an education and a privilege for all of us!
